MESSAGE FROM
THE DIRECTOR
It is my pleasure to introduce you to the wonderfully dynamic experience of Berkshire Hills Music Academy. We foster a true community for our individuals to learn and live both on and off campus. Our model infuses music with an empirically-based curriculum to promote skills for independence. It is inspiring to see how our individuals grow and thrive in our life skills, vocation, music, and arts programming.
Our approach to learning and skill development allows for consistent growth opportunities. At BHMA, staff provide encouragement and guidance to cultivate the unique strengths and talents of our students. Our core philosophy comes from the following values, which are embodied in all of our interactions between the individuals we serve, families, staff, visitors, and members of the community.
-
People first
-
Respect the individual
-
Commit to a person-centered, strengths-based approach
-
Build positive teams
-
Be honest with yourself and each other
-
Appreciate music
-
Laugh a little or a lot
I encourage you to come and visit our campus, see these values in action, and experience for yourself just how special BHMA is. When you do come to campus, please be sure to stop by my office and say hello.
